Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where is the head quarters or the main location of Bloody Blue Mars located?
It is located in Orlando, Florida, USA.
  • Do you guys plan on expanding your business across the state of Florida, across the whole nation or overseas?
No, we do not. It will only be based in Central Florida.
  • Where can I contact the company?
You can email us or call us by clicking on the contact section of our website. We prefer email for now, until we get our number activated.
  • Do you own the rights to the Sponsored Podcast and are you behind it? If not, do you guys have an official podcast that is connected with your company? However, to answer your second question, yes we do. We definitely have an official podcast known as "Dragons on Mars" where they focus more on sports, entertainment, pop-culture, culinary arts and much more that is relevant with our company. You can also check them out on the podcast section/tab of our website titled and known as "Podcast."
To answer your first and second question we don't exactly have a sponsored podcast, but we are in affiliation with the "Dragons on Mars" Podcast - which is a podcast that is also affiliated with Bloody Blue Mars Production Studios, Ltd. where we and they focus more on sports, entertainment, pop-culture, culinary arts and much more that is relevant with our company. You can also check them out on the podcast section/tab of our website and BBM Studio's website titled and known as "Podcast."
  • Do you promote or allow Student-Athletes to be recruited by big major companies?
Yes, of course we do. We are a training school that teaches their students how to fight in any combat sport we have to offer from wrestling to boxing, mma, martial arts & so on. What we do is we have our enrolled students create a resume after their desired & completed training. And all they have to do is put us on their resume of where they got their fighting experience from or at in order to be recruited by companies like the WWE, Impact Wrestling, ROH, NJPW, AEW, the UFC, Bellator MMA, etc. However, we don't always promote, we also just teach regular students that want to learn how to fight & get the proper training in general - especially the ones who get bullied which also comes with our first come first serve basis in self-defense training(which is also considered a pre-requisite.) And we just train them from there on moving forward.
  • Do you teach people that were bullied how to fight and do you get sponsored by the Be A Star Anti-Bullying Campaign?
Yes & No. We do teach people that were bullied in schools, on the internet or elsewhere how to fight and we also teach them self-defense. However, we are developing a coalition to start a partnership with the Anti-Bullying Campaign called "Be A Star" in the future. But that doesn't mean we are sponsored by them at the current moment. So, it's basically a long process.
  • I want to work for Dragon Kai. How do I apply?
You just click on our career section of our website and download the application form there by clicking on the tab and bring it into the 1st floor of our company with your Resume. Or you could just fill out the job application form online which is fast & secure and make sure to upload your resume as well. And then we will call you up for an interview in a week in advance after you submit both documents. You can also view the positions we have available under the careers tab under the positions box. However, if you are trying to apply for a position as a Sensei, Coach & Instructor for Martial Arts/Self-Defense, Boxing, MMA and/or Wrestling; you would need to have attained your Black Belt at-least with an Instructor's Certificate and also go through a 1st Dan Black Belt or Higher Testing while also getting your instructor's certification.
  • What is the dress code for Dragon Kai employees?
We require, encourage, and recommend that our employees wear their Dragon Kai t-shirts with either athletic shorts, Athletic Joggers, the proper training gear in a specific sport they get into or Athletic Sweats when attending here as employees. For example, a Martial Arts Instructor needs to wear Martial Arts Gi Pants with their Martial Arts Ranked Belt they are given and placed at with their Dragon Kai t-shirt or at-least their Martial Arts Gi Jacket for Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Wushu, Jiu Jitzu/Brazilian Jiu Jitzu, & Judo. If you are trying to be a MMA, Boxing & Pro-Wrestling/Wrestling Instructor, you need to wear either a Dragon Kai t-shirt, your Dragon Kai Raglan Compressed Athletic shirts & shorts(our main uniform) or at-least a Dragon Kai Rash Guard shirt with rash guard compressed athletic Shorts of Dragon Kai. However, on the Weekends such as Friday, Saturday & Sunday, you can wear any athletic attire you want that isn't part of the Dojo's uniforms as long as it is comfortable and athletic since you will be moving around a lot and displaying athletic performance.
  • Will you guys be teaching your students at Dragon Kai; Toso Kune Do, Jeet Kuno Do, Wado Ryu & any other form of karate or martial art?"
That is a great question, and yes. We will be teaching our students at Dragon Kai all styles of Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung-Fu & Wushu mainly. Karate consists of different forms & styles such as Toso Kune Do which was created as a style that Jason David Frank made in his martial arts repertoir. We will also teach our students Jeet Kuno Do which is infamously familiarized with Bruce Lee's style of martial arts, which was also popularized by him, and it also originated in 1967. We will also teach them Aikido, as of course as you also mentioned Wado Ryu, Goju-Ryu, Shito-Riyu, Shotokan-Ryu, Yoshukai, Uechi-Ryu, Shuri, Shorin, Shindenkai, Shindo, Shukokai, Kyokushin, Isshin, Gosoku, Goju, Kensei & Chito Ryu as well as any other type of ryu karate styles that is out there to name which most of these styles have originated from Okinawa, Japan - obviously. We will also teach them the other side of karate known as the Kempo style of karate, the oriental style that is taught in Asia minor and the American style. Basically all of these forms of karate have an oriental style & American style to them as well as a European style, which is the rarest form that is taught here in the USA but most common in Europe, which we will also teach them later on once they progress through their training since that style has differences & similarities to the American and Asian style which makes it pretty much unique in it's own way, shape & form.
  • This is a three part question and my questions are: 1.) Why do you guys place the purple belt system above the green & blue belt system for martial arts & self-defense? 2.) Why do you give them greek names 3.) And I can understand why you will have your MMA students under that similar belt system, but why do you put also wrestling students & your boxing students under a belt system since there is no such thing as a belt system in wrestling or boxing."
1.) The reason why we put the purple belt above the green & blue belts system, and classify anybody as a purple belt as "experts" is because that is how it originally started when the belt systems all came about into existence and then it started to get changed around within the years, decades & about a century or two ago. That doesn't mean that there is a right or wrong way of doing so and that also doesn't necessarily mean that we are right or wrong at all. It just means that there are different ways of applying them since they range very broadly & diversely depending on the martial art a student trains in. There is no correct or incorrect way of putting it. That's just how it all started in martial arts, mostly in karate as of what you're seeing on our site, because the belt system in Tae Kwon Do, Kung-Fu, Wushu & other forms of Martial Arts like, Muay Thai for example, can be different compared to karate. So in other words, this is just the original & traditional way of classifying the belt system and which colors they all fall under. This is just my honest, subjective, factual & objective answer to give you from a reliable, knowledgeable & experienced point of view or standpoint from a variety of sources I've learned from. 2.) The reason why we label belt systems under Greek words/names is because of branding, being different in a unique way compared to martial arts dojos & other combat sports training schools which I wanted to make my dojo/training school stand out from the other schools out there. Originally, the owner & founder of this company wanted to name my fighting academy after greek symbols which contain Greek names that represent those symbols, but later on he thought that that was unnecessary & too much. So instead, he came up with the idea of doing that for students that fall under a belt system such as labeling students that are white belts as "betas" & black belt students as "alphas" because they are just classified into groups & became those that are white belts are beginners & black belts are highly skilled masters & highly experienced fighters as well as athletes, because that is what they are. 3.) And this is an interesting question, because I did have this conversation with the owner of the company before and he said the reason why he created this idea was because of marketing as well as branding the company & the whole backstage politics going around the world of combat sports, since wrestling & boxing are considered fighting sports like MMA & Martial Arts. And he wants his company to be different & unique in it's own way by standing out from the rest of the competitor companies or different businesses that have involvement in being martial arts schools or other types of combat sport training schools in the State of Florida or across the nation as well. The owner does obviously know, that there is no such thing as a belt system in boxing, high school wrestling, collegiate wrestling, amateur wrestling, olympic wrestling & in pro-wrestling. But the whole reason why he did this is because of branding the company the way it is & because of politics. He also has told us that the reason for this idea is that the whole purpose of a belt system is just to show the progress of level any student reaches in those two sports along with the other sports that do have belt system(i.e. martial arts, mma & self-defense.) For example, if you're young, fresh, new, untrained & green to wrestling or boxing who has never had any training before you would be considered a white belt in this business. And to be more experienced you have to have a higher belt status based on the color you EARN , get & gain based on that individual's experience by moving up on the ladder of the belt system. There is no way around that to change it. It's just how his business works.
  • Do you guys teach students how to dis-arm bullies, criminals, thugs or other types of bad people that are armed with weapons or firearms?"
Yes we do. That is all part of our Self-Defense program & Cirriculum. We also teach them how to fight with weapons(that aren't actually real, and doing so regardless, but all for good sport & fun - since there are forms of martial arts that involve & require weaponry such as the use of escrima sticks, katanas, bo-staffs, nun-chucks, kamas, sai's, broad swords, fake toy guns of any size or variety, long swords, rapiers, etc.) and we do teach them how to disarm anyone with weapons, firearms or other objects that are usually or commonly used by everyday people in life outside of this business in the real world. And as a combat sport training school we do this by teaching them how to defend themselves in these extreme situations, with dire extreme measures under our companie's rules, morals, philosophy & standards. We don't only expect our students to be top notch professional fighters as athletes, whether if they want to do this as a career or as a hobby, but we also train them to be prepared against anyone who may be a potential threat or that is a threat to them. But we also certainly don't expect our students to become trained violent people with killer instincts. Our instructors are hired & will be hired as top notch coaches/sensei's to teach them how to defend themselves & evaluating them as well. As a company we don't tolerate anyone that has a criminal background and we do run background checks on our employees who work for us & our students alike. So, we should be a safe working environment that runs under professional safety guidelines & protocols that ensures the safety & guidelines of its students & everyone else by ensuring they are being properly trained under certain matters, as well. And this is matter of something we take very seriously. As a company we don't take this very lightly due to these kinds of given circumstances of what can happen outside of this business, in this particular manner, in reality and in our personal everyday lives.
  • Do you guys also teach students stage combat for those that want to be stunt doubles or stunt performers for actors? And how can I get a hold of the owner about this?
Unfortunately, no we don't since stage combat is only involved in theatre performance programs within colleges/universities or in performance training conservatories. But keep in mind, Stage combat is fake fighting and what we do here is for real, where sometimes or most of the times injuries can happen. And Stage Combat isn't really considered a real sport either which is something we don't do or work with in Bloody Blue Mars or Dragon Kai, despite the fact of having some form of fencing elements - which is kind of a sport, this is not a drama school. We only teach Wrestling, Boxing, MMA, Martial Arts & Self-Defense. However, If you are someone who is interested in learning unarmed & armed combat who wants to be a stunt performer for an actor, my advice is to take martial arts classes here if you live around the Orlando area(including MMA, boxing, wrestling & taking some good self-defense classes which could also help you out as well, since we encourage those to do so, if they choose) because there are some martial arts sports that we do teach that require the use of weaponry while most of what we offer are unarmed hand-to-hand fighting and there are safety protocols we do follow so that no one gets injured(lightly, mildly, or severyly depending on how bad injuries can be.) So, there is a high risk in this business. And this side of martial arts or combat sports in general can be very dangerous if something goes wrong. But if you are interested in this, this could help and it can definitely open those doors for you as a performer and then you can add these sports that you did as a skill set to your acting or stunt performing resume under your special skills which helps you out by breaking into the film/tv industry. Just don't put that you did these sports for our company, just put that you were trained in this or that sport. We don't always need to be put out on the spot. Anyways, if you want be an actor or a stunt performer who is interested in taking combat sport classes as well as martial arts with us, you can if you want. And this would look good on your performing arts resume as a skill set and it will make you stand out, but you also don't want to lie on your resumes either which is not a good thing to do. And if you need help with this or get in touch, Carlos Garrido the owner of this business who is also an actor & filmmaker who can do half of his stunts as a performer & has done stage combat before, can help you out as well - you would just need to get through his agent & manager first or meet him in person here if you get lucky. And if you need a reference, he is also a good person to go to; but there are requirements from him in order to do so & you need to know him or get to know him personally. And there is a process. If he doesn't know you & if you don't him, you don't get a reference. Heck, not even a letter of recommendation.
  • Do you guys receive endorsements from publicly traded companies or student/professional athletes or do you give them endorsements? Like money for example.
No we don't and we don't want to. We only endorse & promote ourselves. It's desperation on both parties involved and if we did so, it can probably either make us look good or bad depending on the scenario even if we don't know the outcome or end result. And half of the revenue we make, based on a certain percentage as a company, also goes to charity funds like St. Jude's Hospital. And we also don't like to receive endorsements or funding from companies, corporations or any other entity. We are our own thing & do our own thing as a small business. For example, if we were to give endorsements or money to one of our student graduates/alumni's that is wrestling for a university that has a wrestling program & team like UCF(figuratively speaking), that would make us look bad on our end according to the NCAA's or NCWA's standards with these laws they made & have, since they don't allow athletes to get paid or receive sponsorship or endorsements by third parties or anyone outside the confinements of the NCAA. Their best option, which is the student's option, is to get scholarships from the university and use their image & likeness through the school, merchandising & the NCAA once their rules change which this company completely supports athletes using their image & likeness. But as far as changes on endorsements are concerned, I don't think it will happen at all. And as far as professional athletes are concerned, the companies they work for can sue us if something bad happens with our involvement in it - it just depends on the circumstances, on that company they work for & the sport they are doing. But overall, this company is not in favor of endorsements or getting endorsed by them to a certain degree. And we don't know what that could entail to. So, as a company, we have no other choice other than to just abide by the rules & standards of the NCAA or NCWA as outsiders.
  • Do you sponsor student athletes &/or professional athletes?
Student Athletes at the moment in their training, no. Professional Athletes that trained under us, yes. But if that professional athlete didn't train under us, then no they don't get sponsored since we aren't affiliate with them nor know them. However being sponsored depends on the sport. Like as for MMA, for example, we can sponsor our alumni's if it is amateur MMA. Ever since the UFC ripped the whole deal of athletes being sponsored by different companies & brands, which was a stupid part on their end after signing the Reebok deal, I don't think we can sponsor any of our athletes who choose to fight for the UFC. As far as Bellatore MMA is concerned, I'm not sure. However, for boxing it can depend, because it is very rare & uncommon or not that common for pro-boxers to get sponsored by a training school. And there are no sponsorships in wrestling or pro-wrestling, so that's a no from us even though I wish professional wrestlers can get sponsored just like how mixed martial artists can.
  • Can student-athletes that graduate from the Dragon Kai fighting Academy who did Pro-Wrestling training, wear their DK apparel at big Wrestling Companies or on the Indy wrestling circuit?"
This is an interesting & great question to ask. If they are wrestling on the Indy circuits, and if they wearing it while getting in the ring for the match, I believe so, so I think they can. It just depends on the company they wrestle for, if they are allowed to do so. However, for big companies like World Wrestling Entertainment and All Elite Wrestling compared to Smaller companies like Total Nonstop Action Impact Wrestling and/or New Japan Pro Wrestling, I don't think they will be allowed to depending on how strict those companies are(at-least based on one of these companies since I know the WWE certainly wouldn't allow it and I'm not 100% sure or certain about these other companies) because they may think these athletes are being sponsored or endorsed by us - and they wouldn't like that since it may not be allowed in their business. And like I said before, there are no sponsorships nor endorsements allowed in pro-wrestling, unless however, there is some form of consent of approval between the wrestlers, the independent wrestling promotions and the bigger-popular businesses. I mean, if this happened in the WWE, it depends on the creative choices. They are more strict than TNA, AEW, ROH & NJPW. And ever since the WWE signed a contract deal with Tapout, C4, Fanatics as well as with Endeavors while collaborating with the UFC as "The TKO Group" stock exchange as well as re-branding themselves as "Combat Sports & Entertainment", then it is likely the case that wrestlers can wear those shirts, but not shirts like from a wrestling training school. So to answer your question, on the Indy circuits, maybe they can or maybe they can't - it just depends on the company having a final say. But if it is a major company like one of these conglomerates like the WWE, it's a possibility that they can't - as of now, but back in the times when Vince had more control, it wouldn't be allowed. As of now, since the endeavor buyout of the WWE occurred, and since Vince McMahon is no longer in charge of the creative decisions with the company with Triple H replacing him, I have a positive feeling that these wrestlers could wear attire that is affiliated with any Independent Wrestling Promotion, a Wrestling Training School or a Smaller Promotion that is an alternative to the WWE. I just can't give you a subjective(yes or no) answer about TNA, AEW, ROH, NJPW & whatnot since I don't know how they operate on that if there is a rule against it or not. So I'm not sure about those other wrestling companies that are an alternative to WWE. It's pretty much difficult to say, rather than giving you simple answer.
  • I know you accept boys and girls in your boxing, wrestling & mma program within your fighting academy, but do you guys accept boys and girls in your Dragon Kai martial arts & self-defense program?"
Yes we do accept boys & girls regardless of their race as long as they are 5-6 years old up to their late 20's.
  • Do you guys allow students that have learning disabilities or that are disabled to do combat sports training?
We do allow students that have learning disabilities to train in whatever combat sport they register for and we certainly do accommodate to their needs. However, & unfortunately, I don't think it is wise to let people that are physically disabled to do something so physically demanding since they aren't capable of doing so and there are injuries that can happen. And there are liabilities about athletes getting injured or doing something physical. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused on answering that part of your question. However, that doesn't mean that they aren't allowed in our restaurant or in the entertainment room of "Bloody Blue Mars" - they are allowed & more than welcome to dine in the restaurant, watch movies/tv in the theatre room & play video games as long as somebody is there with them. They are also still welcomed regardless to watch sport events we hold in our dojo & fighting academy as audience members.
  • Will you guys really have special guest appearances as instructors for Dragon Kai? If so, when will you have professional combat sport athletes & well known martial artists, especially celebrities with combat sports & martial arts backgrounds make special guest appearances to teach a master class?"
I love this question. Yes, we will have this for sure. To answer your question, it depends on their schedule but it can happen anytime at-least once a month, maybe twice a month or more. It's certainly not going to happen daily or every once in a while within every week, but either way, it also depends on who we will have as those guest instructors. I think the one who has control over that would have to be the COO & Co-COO. I know that owner was planning on having Jason David Frank be one of the 1st main special guests to hold a workshop, a meet & greet as well as masterclass in karate & Muay Thai for his Karate & MMA students here at Bloody Blue Mars & Dragon Kai, while coaching alongside other instructors that are part of this business, but since he passed away, we may consider bringing in other celebrities with martial arts backgrounds and we are not quite there yet in that phase, so it will definitely take time & there is a process. The owner wants to invite other professional wrestlers, professional mixed martial artists, stunt performers for actors, celebrities that have martial arts or other combat sports backgrounds, professional martial artists & professional boxers to do the same like Chris Casamassa, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Randy Orton, The Big Show, Ronda Rhousey, George St. Pierre, Randy Couture, Rampage Jackson, Conor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather, Michael Jai White & more other notable public figures. And besides the WWE Performance Center & NXT is right around our location in Central Florida, so you may also be surprised of who may make an appearance. Stay tuned.
  • Can UCF(University of Central Florida) students & student-athletes who were part of the wrestling team & martial arts clubs at the university as part of the student-run organizations, apply for a job as a sensei or coach for Dragon Kai? Are there also benefits of being an employee such as discounts & more?"
Yes, of course. And absolutely. You just need to get your license to be an instructor, fill out paper work & be evaluated of how good you are as a leader, an instructor & how much of a talented athlete you are. And then you're all set & ready. We want to hire the best of the best.
  • On your website for the martial arts instructors/coaches part under the Dragon Kai section of the BBM Fighting Academy area & tab, it says that there will be sensei's that will be teaching the students martial arts. But will there also be Master's, Kyoshi's & Hanshi instructors that will also be employed by this company who will teach the karate students martial arts? And what about for the tae kwon do & kung-fu students, will the same logic from the second question apply for them too?"
Yes. There will be Sensei's, Master's, Grand Master's, Kyoshi's, Hanshi's & Shihan's instructors that will teach the students all forms, styles & aspects of karate in martial arts. Basically Master's, Kyoshi's, Hanshi's & Shihan's are higher degree sensei's in black belts - who have been karateka practioners for years to perfect their craft ranging from the 1st stripe of Degree/DAN to the 10th stripe of Degree/DAN. So as for your second question, in tae kwon do, the instructors are known by the same method applied as I mentioned from the first paragraph. In Tae Kwon Do threre are Sensei's, Masters & Grand Masters. However, the higher the DAN it is they are either a Master or Grand Master. And in Tae Kwon Do as well as Kung Fu, we refer to the degrees in each colored belt systems as DAN's in Tae Kwon Do & in Muay Thai as well as Judo. However, in Kung-Fu (including in Wushu) they will go by either Degree's or DAN's depending under the circumstances of the instructor's system, process & progress. So not all instructors are likely the same depending on the different type of martial arts progressions - since instructors can be different on how they teach. And another thing I'd like to point out is that we will be having Special Guest Sensei's (as well as our own instructors that are employed here) who are at the Master's, Grand Master's, Kyoshi's, Hanshi's & Shihan's that are at the highest levels, performing in masterclass workshops either in person or on zoom if you choose to do online classes via registration.
  • Will students who train in Muay Thai, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, & BJJ for Dragon Kai also wear Gi's like those students who are studying Martial Arts & Self-Defense? And will they be also wearing the same Gi's that the Dragon Kai students wear?"
For regular normal training days, No. But, for special events, Yes they will be wearing the same identical Gi's that the Dragon Kai students wear. However, they will be wearing the long sleeve versions of the Gi rather than the Sleeveless ones.
  • Can the students keep their Dragon Kai Gi's and other Fighting Academy Training Attire & Gear once they graduate & finish taking classes at Dragon Kai?
No, they can't. Once they finish their training classes and they graduate or withdraw from their classes they must return them. It's part of our Policies with Dragon Kai MACSFA. If they don't return them, they will be charged with a $500 fine for the Dragon Kai Gi's & $100 fine for the DK Fighting Academy Attire/Gear.
  • Does your fighting academy & dojo support the idea of training cops/police officers in self defense & hand to hand combat, including any one that wants to join the military & other special forces like FBI or CIA Agents?
Yes, we actually do support the idea of training police officers or anybody/anyone that wants to become an officer in the Central Florida area in self-defense & hand to hand combat. We also definitely support training anyone who wants to join the military and other special forces in the military that want to train in these fields of our expertise. However, FBI/CIA agents get their training within their own field and elsewhere since that is all located in Washington, D.C. So, we don't specialize in that nor are will we be allowed to do so. But, it wouldn't be a problem to train anyone who wants to be an FBI/CIA who is currently residing in Orlando or in any other part of the Central Florida area.
  • Are you guys open during the Holiday Seasons?
Yes and no. We are not usually open during 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, and some Jewish Holidays. However, we are open on other Holidays such as Halloween, Memorial Day and others that are publicly known in the United States every year. And our rules and policies about this will never be subject to change.
  • Do Full-Time & Part-Time Employees get bonuses and Paid Time Off during the Holidays?
Yes, Full-Time & Part-Time Employees get bonuses every year for every quarter of the seasonal semesters for the ending months of Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter Seasons - with an extra bonus every 12 months at the end of December based on their performance and how well they do on the job. And they also do get PTO(Paid Time Off) during the holidays, Vacation and Paid-Sick leave - along with other employment and retirement benefits, especially with a 401K Pension Plan.
  • What are your Hours of Operation?
Mondays to Fridays at 9:00 am - 10:00 pm Saturdays to Sundays at 10:30 am - 9:00 pm
  • Will all your Martial Art's Gi's be sleeveless for Kung-Fu, Karate & Tae Kwon Do?
Yes, that is correct our Martial Art's Gi's for Kung Fu, Karate & Tae Kwon Do will be sleeveless as seen in one of the images on our Instagram Social media page or on the "about me" section of our website where there is an image of the owner wearing an example of how they will look like - it's just the instructors will have their own instructor patch on them. However, our Martial Arts Gi's may be subject to change within time if we ever desire to make a change in their style and format depending our choices. So they won't always be sleeveless. We could also decide to have the Gi Jackets to be in long sleeve as well. Furthermore, our Martial Arts Gi's in Muay Thai, Judo, Jiu Jitzu & Brazilian Jiu Jitzu will definitely be in long sleeve form on the Gi Jackets.
  • Who designs your Martial Arts Gears as well as your Combat Sports Gears?
For our martial arts gears, material and such as for Kung-Fu, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Wushu, Judo, Jiu-Jitzu, BJJ, Muay Thai and amongst others we are going to be partnered with Century since they are very popular, credible, notable, famous, well known and familiar with creating martial arts products as well as providing goods and services for athletes. So, we make the creative decisions and content outerwear with them whenever we work on projects with them with our state of the art resources ranging from our attire, dress code, our equipment, our gear and what not. However, for our Combat Sports gears, material and equipment such as for Wrestling, Professional Wrestling, Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts - we are going to be partnered with a variety of company's depending on their expertise of making such resources. For example, for Wrestling/Pro-Wrestling, MMA & Boxing we will be partnering with Compound Sportswear, Takedown Sportswear, Champions & Venum.
  • Do you guys offer free classes or at-least free trial classes for low-income students & families?
Great question. Yes we will actually start offering free-trial classes up to 30-90 days for those who are in poverty or of low-income financial and economic status. After those 30-90 days are over we do tend to re-negotiate price terms with our clients if they choose to go that route or have them cancel their membership & subscription inquiry at any time with a refund. However, our free classes aren't always completely free for a long time, it's only up to a certain time - which is only up to 30-90 days and then you pay the fee's for your dues.
  • Do you guy's offer a virtual online training program for Students to train in martial arts, just like how Jason David Frank does with Train Me JDF with his Rising Sun Karate Dojo?
Yes, we do. Even though we will be doing A LOT of in person physical training at the dojo, as a matter of fact, once we are prepared and started in being open for business - that is a considerable goal in mind the owner has had for a while that he will have set up by his staff of combat sports & martial arts instructors giving those course lessons & lectures. So, the owner really wouldn't have all the time to teach you martial arts since he is a very busy man with a busy schedule as a Full-time Actor & Filmmaker and a Part-time Businessman who is also a Seasonal Sensei Instructor on the interim. But if & when he has the time, he may teach you a few things he knows and was taught in some videos & livestreams, if not, one of them. However, here's the catch or kicker: he will be offering a Virtual Online Training Program for students if they call in sick and can't attend their class sessions in person and for students who live out of the city of Orlando including outside the state of Florida in any other state in the US. And it will all take place via Zoom or through Ruzuku which is a website known as app.ruzuku.com. We also know, to the best of our knowledge, the owner of this company, also did a re-training course with Jason David Frank using his Rising Sun Karate-Train Me JDF Program during the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic to brush up & improve on his martial arts training, experience & skills he once learned before during his youth. So he is definitely all hands on deck with this idea. It's just there is a fine print that comes with it. However, at the moment, since we don't currently have an online program active at the moment, if you really want to take martial arts classes through a virtual online program, we would recommend taking Jason David Frank's Martial Arts classes through his Train Me JDF Virtual Online Program. The owner would also encourage that as well since he took a lot of courses with JDF & his staff from Rising Sun Karate through that online virtual program - he basically also promotes it as a Business Entrepreneur who support's JDF's business and work as a fan. Furthermore, this program will only be available for Boxing, some MMA styles & Martial Arts training, NOT certain MMA styles and wrestling, including pro wrestling, since these styles require teamwork. However, we recommend taking combat sports & martial arts (fighting) training in person. And if you can't do that with us, we would heavily or highly advise any of you to sign up with your local training school/dojo in your local area that you live in if Dragon Kai is too far for you to attend and if it's also out of your reach.
  • Do UCF/University of Central Florida students and alumni's get discounts for enrolling for courses at Dragon Kai, buying merchandise from the online store and for meals at the restaurant?
Yes, basically merchandise sales at our online store is available for everyone other than just college students in Central Florida. However, to answer the other two parts to this question, yes UCF Students do get discounts for enrolling for combat sports & martial arts training courses with Dragon Kai or for eating out at the Bloody Blue Mars restaurant. As a matter of truth, all college students in the Central Florida area who attends any other Community College or University, ALL get discounts. These discounts don't only apply to UCF students. It benefits all College students in the Central Florida areas and location. However, unfortunately, Alumni's don't. It's only if your a student. However, if you're a UCF Alumni like our owner was, there will more than likely be discounted events when we host a UCF Sports-Watch Gameday event every week, whenever they dine at our restaurant - since there will be Televisions installed throughout the restaurant and/or want to take some training classes in martial arts or other combat sports, whether if that UCF Alumni was a Student-Athlete or not. And if you're a UCF Alumni who was a Student Athlete there are more benefits and perks to that than just getting a discount. Register and stay tuned to know more.
  • Would you consider training Professional Athletes that are in their biggest stage or phase in their life, who would want to get back in their training in Boxing, MMA, Wrestling/Pro Wrestling & Martial Arts while they are in the middle of working in their profession as a Pro Athlete & Fighter?
Yes. Of Course. Absolutely. It's ok for a pro athlete to train with us to hone, brush up, improve and perfect themselves on their craft in whatever combat sport or martial art they do. There is nothing wrong with that. As long as they don't tell anyone else other than the UFC, WWE, AEW, any other wrestling company/business or any other amateur MMA Company or smaller wrestling promotion (like the Indy scenes) in the market that they are training exactly with us, by specifically giving out our name during their time of training while also wrestling for those promotions at the same time. However, with us, we prefer training way before signing on into a contract with those company's I just listed as their active member on their roster - it just shows them that you are doing things the right way, the wiser and smarter way, the realistic way, the orthodox way and following things by the book (as they say.) That's only if you want to tell the people in charge of those company's, businesses and promotions that you are getting your training with us, it's just optional, it's not necessary, not recommended nor a requirement, but it would be encouraged - if you want. Just don't tell anyone else other than your employers that are outside of this world of sports & profession.
  • Are you guys planning on being an officially notable & certified training camp & gym that would like to be affiliated with the UFC or any other MMA Promotion Company just like how other notable brands like American Kickboxing Academy, Roufus Sport, American Top Team, Cesar Gracie Fight Team, Kill Cliff FC, RVCA Training Center, Xtreme Couture, etc.?
We don't mind becoming notable and recognizable with the MMA world as a certified, credible and legit training camp & gym since we are a dojo and a fighting academy, just like those other camps you have listed that have ties with the UFC, but at the very moment, to the very least of it, our intentions are to not be sponsored by or sponsors for the UFC if that is what you mean by being affiliated with them. But we do want them to acknowledge, embrace and recognize us as just that: a training gym facility and camp for athletes who want to become Professional Mixed Martial Artists and fight for their company, or for any other MMA promotion other than the UFC. But, if you're trying to say that if athletes can use our name, image & likeness as well as brand by using our logos as the patches or anything else like that on their banners and on their fight shorts as their sponsors, based on their branding and marketing purposes for sponsorship and partnership, then yes we can attend to them as their proprietors, sponsors and affiliates. But we are just a training school, we are not trying to be like AKA, Kill Cliff FC, Roufus Sport or any of those other gyms & camps you're referring to by doing the same thing they are doing with the UFC and other MMA promotions that are out there. Furthermore, our job and main focus is still all about being a positively reputable company with one vision or many different objectives in mind that can make our own business thrive - and that's also by focusing on ourselves and striving to have a good reputation, be successful, become innovators, trendsetters, trailblazers by passing down the torch to others and paving the way into becoming a better & competitive entity. Once the UFC or any other promotion out there that's like them sees that, then we will see what happens. But our job is to not become affiliated with them like how Affliction, RCVA, Dethrone, Deathclutch, Tapout, Venum, Reebok as sponsors on their gears or other forms equipment/material & AKA, Roufus Sport, Kill Cliff & other training gyms/camps like them, has or has had with them in the past. So, we're not a big company like AKA, American Top Team, RVCA, The Gracie Fight Time, Xtreme Couture & others are - at the moment.
